The simple things

I found Eden's rock collection this weekend as I was cleaning out some drawers to make room for Micah's clothes. I had to make the executive decision that Micah's clothes were more important than her rock collection, and I think she was happy with my decision.

You see, last spring, she would collect a rock wherever we went, and that continued throughout the summer and fall. There were piles of rocks everywhere in the condo. When we'd have playdates, I remember some moms looking at me and I felt like I could read their minds about thinking I was crazy.

Despite the craziness, this is what fuels my fire: happiness in the simplest of things.
