My kind of humor

I find Eden hilarious. I don't know if it's because she's two and is blunt or if it's because  she's just so darn cute that anything she says I think is adorable. Anyway, she's funny.
A couple of days ago she was in her crib and kept calling me because something was "on her eye". I went to her, and she says "Mommy, something is on my eye". I looked and didn't see anything and told her just that. She then took my pointer finger and rubbed her eyebrow with my finger. "See" she said. I had a good chuckle. Eden definitely knows what eyebrows are, but I don't think she ever felt them on her own. We then took a few minutes to talk about eyebrows.
Today, we went to Aldi's (remember the cash budget I'm on...gotta get the most bang for my buck). Eden was sitting in the cart, being so good and sweet and starts looking around and wrinkling her nose. As an Aldi worker was walking right past her she said, "this store is kinda different". I had a good laugh as did the worker. This coming from a little girl who asks to go to Brennan's all the time.

Fast Friends

First foods

Micah had his first food on March 14th while we were in Florida. At night, it just seemed like he was wanting to eat and eat or should I say nurse and nurse. Being that he is over six months, Mike convinced me that the time was right. Micah loved it, he had sweet potatoes as his first food. We didn't feed him anything yesterday because of traveling so much, but he ate again tonight. A jar and a half! for dinner. I was pretty shocked, and still am considering Eden never ate a whole jar of baby food in her life. Here's to hoping his little tummy stays full so I can get caught up on some sleep tonight.

Family vacation

We arrived in Florida on the 10th and had a couple of setbacks, minor of course, but setbacks none the less. It started with a lost bag at the airport which resulted in lost keys to the place we were staying. Then we went through a toll without paying, but we made it. We made it to Florida, and we made it to Sanibel Island, and I think Eden's face here tells all. We all felt this way.

I love how beautiful Eden looks here. The gulf, my daughter, love it.

But Eden didn't last very long alone, she was off to tell some strangers that she had her toenails painted.

This was the first of many "birthday cakes"

Aren't they darling?

This little guy turned 6 months while we were there.

I wish I could caption this one, "What's wrong with this picture?"

Downtown Orlando

And what's Florida without going to Gatorland?

This was at Sebastian Inlet Rec. Area. It was so beautiful, and we saw so many dolphins jumping here.

Can you see the dolphin fin?

Micah ate his first food on March 14th, just guessing, but I think he liked it.

Cocoa Beach. Mike and I kinda thought this seemed like the Wisconsin Dells of Florida.

Being prepared

We got back yesterday from Florida, and had such an awesome time. Eden always likes to be prepared for things. She packed and unpacked her bag many times, and would practice pulling it behind her.

Daddy gave pretend airplane rides for the last week and a half leading up to Florida.

And I think it all paid off. Eden and Micah did awesome on the plane, although Eden did admit she "doesn't like airplane rides and would rather ride in a helicopter".

And from the looks of it, I'd say she did pretty well pulling her own weight in baggage.
